Developing India

What is wrong with this country, what is wrong with these people and what is wrong with everything in the country. I have been dreaming to see a developed India and when will my dream come true. Why have few countries have shown great development compared to our country. The examples are right before us, Japan, Singapore,etc. They do not have as large population as our country. They do not have as many scholars as our country. Then why are we still lagging behind.

Its almost 20 years since when I have been hearing about a developing India, but I was just wondering now whether we will ever have a deveoped country. If yes, how long will it take to achieve it. What are the factors which are holding the causes for the country to move forward.

The main factors have been the illiteracy, corruption and poor leadership. Not to forget one major factor has been the massive increase in the population which is still been increasing. The literacy rate in our country is still below 60% and more than 40% of the people are earning below 1 USD per day. But IT and industry are increasing day by day. The people in the rural areas are not getting the need of education as required. The result is the poor are staying poor and illiterate and it is only the rich who are growing rich. Corruption has been another major factor. There have been a lot of corruption in every public sector. Statistically and logically it effects the middle class and the low class people more. Now coming to the leaders, it doesn't need any explaination.

Some revolution should take place again in the near future. Remembering our freedom fight, another fight should take place this time for a better country.Even the minds of many people is filled with a false desire of money. But its not the money which is important, its the pleasure in life. It is obtained by living in a happy, free and a plesant environment and this environment is created by a good India. So we the citizens of India are solely responsible for the lagging of our country. It is not that we can achieve it by self, but we can do what we can. A single stick can be broken easily but a bunch of sticks cannot. Finally, once again I hope to see a developed India soon. I would do my part in that.
